Adjustments to the requirements for reporting the date of shipment of imported goods

The requirement of “date of departure” is adjusted from “the date when the means of transportation carrying the imported goods leaves the port of departure” to “the date when the imported goods leave the first port of shipment outside the country.

If the goods contained in one declaration correspond to different dates of shipment, the last date of shipment shall be reported.

China's 144-hour visa-free transit policy increases to 37 ports of entry

The National Immigration Administration issued a notice on July 15, effective immediately, the implementation of the 144-hour visa-free transit policy at Zhengzhou air port in Henan Province, the scope of stay for the administrative area of Henan Province; the 144-hour visa-free transit policy in Yunnan Province will be expanded from Kunming City to Kunming, Lijiang, Yuxi, Pu'er, Chuxiong, Dali, Xishuangbanna, Honghe, Wenshan and other nine cities (states) administrative area. Three new ports, including Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport, Lijiang Sanyi International Airport and Mohan Railway Port, have been added as ports applicable to the 144-hour visa-free transit policy.

 

It is understood that up to now, the State Administration of Migration has implemented the 144-hour visa-free transit policy in 37 ports in Beijing, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang and Qinhuangdao in Hebei, Shenyang and Dalian in Liaoning, Shanghai, Nanjing and Lianyungang in Jiangsu, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou and Zhoushan in Zhejiang, Zhengzhou in Henan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Jieyang in Guangdong, Qingdao in Shandong, Chongqing, Chengdu in Sichuan, Xi'an in Shaanxi, Xiamen in Fujian, Wuhan in Hubei, Kunming, Lijiang and Xishuangbanna in Yunnan, and so on. Citizens of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and other 54 countries holding valid international travel documents and combined tickets with dates and seats determined within 144 hours can transit from the above ports to a third country (region) without a visa and stay in the specified area for up to 144 hours, and during the period of stay, they can engage in short-term activities, such as tourism, business, visiting, visiting relatives, etc. (In line with the agreement on mutual visa exemption signed with our country or our unilateral visa exemption policy, the provisions can be applied accordingly).
